Opus-Sixty-Eight (Aurant Takes Flight) is Delivered by Artist Dennis N. Duce

Well it is completed and installed!

Jeff Anderson Managing Partner/CEO of Aurant (The Home Theater Company) Hired me to complete a large art piece for the entry of the main show room in Sugarhouse. The piece looks great, It was made from Reclaimed Copper fascia from a job Nielco Roofing and Sheet metal did in southern Utah. There are also some pieces of reclaimed Stainless Steel from a stainless steel counter top made by Evergreen Copper Works.

Most of my commissions so far have been made for a difficult wall that the owner or interior designer could not figure out how to decorate. My art allows so much freedom of design that it is perfect for curved walls or strange sized alcoves. This piece replaced a piece that had been there for some time. It took Jeff a few minutes to get used to the change he admitted after only a half an hour of hanging in his entry  ”even though I have never liked the mass produced thing that was hanging there I was used to it and this is different. I love this piece already and can tell I will enjoy it more and more as time goes on.” As the light changes on the piece there are a lot of changes in how the piece looks and over time my clients start to realize that they have not invested in a single art piece but an organic and ever changing work of art with many sides, faces and dimensions.

It was a lot of fun building this first Corporate ID piece because of the challenge of incorporating the company logo into the piece but all of the employees and myself are very pleased with the outcome. I echo Jeff’s sentiments “I look forward to hearing what people have to say about this new addition to the office.” Hopefully he will share some of those comments with me and I can post them here on my art blog.
