Fold Formed Stainless Steel Christmas Ornament new on Etsy
I love how this one turned out. I have seen a lot of artists that form fold but I have never seen stainless steel used as the metal of choice. The blues and purples I can get when I heat stainless steel are so bright and I just love working with it. This ornament looks fantastic on the tree. Asymmetrical Reclaimed Copper Bracelet up on Etsy
I just posted the first of my jewelry pieces on Etsy. I have a number of designs I am going to be putting up but I thought I would start with this one. It is fun and whimsical but still has a side of sophisticated. I love how the two sides are different widths it makes you take the time to really look at the piece. I used Form Folding to create the wide line down the middle and then raised the side with old world hammered techniques. I have posted a few of my Christmas Ornaments to the Etsy page so far but I wanted to get one of my woven ones up there. Most of my clients recognize my work as being woven reclaimed copper so this ornament is more in keeping with that style. I love doing the Form Folding as well I guess I just love doing both styles of using pre-cycled copper to make beauty out of Garbage.
