I have been wanting to do this for some time. The thought came to me over a year ago but I did not have either the time or the specific opportunity to do this. I was invited to enter in the Annual juried religious show at the SMA (Springville Museum of Art so I decided now was a good a time as ever to create a weaved stainless steel and copper version of the Salt Lake Temple. I am quite sure I am the first to have done a piece like this. I this it turned out great and am sure it will have a great showing at the Museum. I hope I get in with this piece but I think it is both very well done (if I don’t say so myself) and also quite appropriate for the audience it will be showing to.

I made some changes at the suggestion of my wife. I heated a few areas to help the piece stand out more. Check out the changes and let me know what you think.

Close up of the first floor before changes notice the uncolored area at the corner of the building.

Close up of the spires before heat color touch up. Notice the large area between the two main spires. There are other areas that also got touched up in this pic but that was the biggest.
